2. Overview and legal bases
We process personal data to operate this website, to handle your enquiries and – with your consent – for statistics and to measure our advertising. The legal bases are your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), the performance of pre-contractual measures or a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), legal obligations (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR) and our legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Information is stored on or accessed from your device in accordance with Section 25 of the German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act (TDDDG): without consent only where this is strictly necessary for technical reasons, otherwise only with your consent.
No automated decision-making, including profiling within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR, takes place.
3. Hosting and server log files
This website is hosted by STRATO GmbH, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin, Germany. Each time the website is accessed, the server processes technically necessary data: IP address, date and time, the page requested, the previously visited page (referrer) as well as browser and operating system. This serves to deliver the website, keep it secure and analyse errors; the legal basis is our legitimate interest in secure and stable operation (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The log files are stored only for as long as necessary for these purposes. Data is transmitted in encrypted form (TLS).
4. Cloudflare: delivery, protection and form security
Our website is delivered via the network of Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. Cloudflare routes requests, speeds up delivery and protects the website against attacks. In doing so, Cloudflare processes in particular your IP address, browser and device information and the address requested.
To protect our forms against automated submissions, we use Cloudflare Turnstile. Turnstile uses technical characteristics of your browser and device as well as your IP address to check whether a form is being submitted by a human. According to Cloudflare, Turnstile does not use cookies for this purpose and does not use the data for advertising. Further information can be found in Cloudflare's Turnstile Privacy Addendum .
The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a secure, fast website protected against misuse (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, Section 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG). Cloudflare is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, for which an adequacy decision of the European Commission exists. Further information: Cloudflare's privacy policy.
5. Contact form and enquiries by e-mail
If you contact us via the contact form or by e-mail, we process your name, your e-mail address, the subject, your message and any PDF documents you attach. Your documents may contain personal data, for example names in the title block. We use this data to handle your enquiry, for example to assess your documents and to prepare a quotation for you. If this results in an order, further processing is governed by the contract. The legal basis is the performance of pre-contractual measures (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and otherwise our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The form data is sent by e-mail to our mailbox at STRATO.
We store your enquiry and the documents for as long as we need them for your enquiry or for any resulting business relationship; statutory retention obligations remain unaffected.
6. Registration for the closed beta
If you sign up for the closed beta waiting list, we process your name, your e-mail address, optionally your company name, and your information on your role, your estimated digitisation volume and whether you have an EPLAN licence. We use this data to manage the waiting list, select participants and contact you about the closed beta. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). The information is sent by e-mail to our mailbox at STRATO.
If you have also requested e-mail updates, we use your e-mail address on the basis of this separate consent to send you information about SchematicVision, the beta status and the product launch.
You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future, for example by e-mail to [email protected]. We store your information until you withdraw your consent or we no longer need it for the closed beta and the product launch.
7. Cookies and consent management
To manage your consent, we use the WordPress plugin Complianz, which runs on our own server. Your choice is stored in a cookie on your device so that we can take it into account on your next visit and demonstrate it. The legal basis is our legal obligation to demonstrate consent (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR in conjunction with Art. 7(1) GDPR) and Section 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG.
The cookies we use are described in detail in our Cookie Policy (EU). There you can change or withdraw your consent at any time.
8. Google Analytics 4 (statistics, only with consent)
With your consent to the "Statistics" category, we use Google Analytics 4 from Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, integrated via the MonsterInsights plugin. This tells us how our website is used and helps us improve it. In particular, the following are processed: pages visited, time spent, the previously visited page, device, browser and operating system information, an approximate location derived from the IP address, and the events "enquiry with PDF sent" and "closed beta sign-up", in each case without form content. According to Google, IP addresses are not stored in Google Analytics 4. Cookies such as "_ga" are set for this purpose.
We have enabled Google Signals. If you are signed in to your Google account and have allowed personalised advertising there, Google can link your usage data across devices. We receive aggregated reports from this, for example on cross-device usage. You can deactivate personalised advertising in your Google account at myadcenter.google.com .
The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, Section 25(1) TDDDG). The retention period in Google Analytics is set to 14 months. Data may be transferred to Google LLC in the USA; Google is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. A data processing agreement is in place with Google. Further information: Google's privacy policy.
9. OpenAI Ads Measurement Pixel (ad measurement, only with consent)
We advertise with ads in ChatGPT. To measure whether these ads lead to visits and enquiries, we use, with your consent to the "Marketing" category, the Measurement Pixel of OpenAI OpCo, LLC, 1455 3rd Street, San Francisco, CA 94158, USA. Without this consent, the pixel is not loaded.
In particular, the following are processed: your IP address, browser and device information, the pages visited, the previously visited page, the time, identifiers in cookies such as "__oppref" and "__obref", and the events "page view" and "enquiry with PDF sent". We do not pass any form content to the pixel. If you use ChatGPT in the same browser, OpenAI may link this data with your use of ChatGPT and, under its own responsibility, also use it to improve its advertising services.
We are jointly responsible with OpenAI for collecting the data on our website and transmitting it to OpenAI (Art. 26 GDPR); OpenAI is solely responsible for any further processing. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, Section 25(1) TDDDG). The data is transferred to the USA. We base this transfer on your explicit consent (Art. 49(1)(a) GDPR). The USA may not offer a level of data protection equivalent to EU law; in particular, US authorities may access the data without you having effective legal remedies. Further information: OpenAI's privacy policy.
10. Link to LinkedIn
In the footer of every page and in the note below the contact form, we link to our company profile on LinkedIn. These are simple links. Data is only transmitted to LinkedIn when you click a link and open LinkedIn; LinkedIn's privacy policy applies there.
11. Your rights
You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16 GDPR), erasure (Art. 17 GDPR), restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR) and data portability (Art. 20 GDPR). You can withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR); this does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.
Right to object: Where we process data on the basis of legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), you may object at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation (Art. 21 GDPR).
To exercise your rights, an e-mail to [email protected] is sufficient.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is the Bavarian State Office for Data Protection Supervision (Bayerisches Landesamt für Datenschutzaufsicht), Promenade 18, 91522 Ansbach, Germany, www.lda.bayern.de.
12. Obligation to provide data
You are under no statutory or contractual obligation to provide us with personal data. However, without the required information, such as your name and e-mail address, we cannot process your enquiry or registration.
13. Changes
We update this privacy policy when our website, our services or the legal situation change. The version published here applies.
